There are different types of electric motors. And 80% of their total number in the world is induction motors. They are so widely used because of their simple design, reliability, efficiency, durability and versatility.
Interesting facts about induction electric motors.
- More than 10 thousand different versions of induction motors exist in the world.
- Over 90 billion units are in operation.
- 7-10 billion new induction electric motors are produced annually.
- 60% of all electricity is consumed by induction electric motors.
- Approximately 80% of the motor fleet is worn out.
Dmitriy Duyunov is a Soviet development engineer.
About 30 years ago, he started working on the combined winding technology, which was subsequently named Slavyanka.
In 1995, the technology was first successfully applied in practice for the motors of the north-eastern pumping station in Stakhanov, which are still in operation today.
The Slavyanka technology is patented and makes it possible to develop, design and manufacture new generation induction motors that outperform all their current counterparts.
Duyunov did not work on refining the technology alone, but with a team of engineers and developers.
In 2001, ASIPP was established, a research and production enterprise operating in the field of technology and innovation, which is engaged in energy-saving technologies, developments in plasma technologies, welding technologies, power sources and lighting equipment. Dmitriy Duyunov is one of the company's founders.
Over the years, Dmitriy Duyunov and his team have:
- accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of innovative technology,
- developed a range of motors applicable for electric vehicles, in agriculture, industry and everyday life,
- built up a pool of licensed winders who have modernized more than 100,000 units of motors worldwide.
This work resulted in the establishment of Sovelmash as part of the crowdinvestment project Duyunov's Motors.
The company's goal is to commercialize the Slavyanka technology.
For this purpose, the Sovelmash design and engineering technology department has been built, which will develop specific types of motors tailored to customer needs, as well as manufacture its own innovative products.

The peculiarity of the "Slavyanka" technology is a successful combination of two winding types ("star" and "delta") in one electric motor. They are connected in parallel, with a 30-degree shift of the resulting electromagnetic induction vectors. This design has a number of significant advantages over the traditional motors.
Electricity saving. Combined winding electric motors consume up to 40% less electricity. Their distinctive feature is an increased energy efficiency class. The technology makes it possible to produce motors of high energy efficiency classes IE3, IE4 in the connecting mass and size dimensions of motors with low energy efficiency class IE1. No one else in the world has been able to achieve this.
Production cost. The production of electric motors with "Slavyanka" uses on average 30% less copper and electrical steel, depending on the motor size. "Sovelmash" can produce four combined winding electric motors instead of three classic electric motors using the same amount of raw materials.
Reliability. The service factor of a combined winding electric motor is 2.5. In motors with classical winding types, this indicator does not exceed 1.3-1.4. A motor with "Slavyanka" can work much longer without repairs, even under higher loads. There are combined winding motors that have been working without breakdowns for over 20 years.
There are more advantages that electric motors with "Slavyanka" offer, for example:
- higher starting torques by an average of 35%,
- lower starting current by an average of 35 %,
- less noise and vibration.
There are two directions for implementing the combined winding technology.
The first direction is modernization, replacing the classic winding of the factory-made electric motor with "Slavyanka".
The second direction is the design of a combined winding electric motor from scratch, with optimization of all its components for the most efficient performance of the technology.
The construction of the Sovelmash D&E began in late 2020 and was completed in December 2024.
On September 17, 2025, Sovelmash obtained a certificate of completion.
Next steps include obtaining a commissioning permit, after which the company will be able to begin full-fledged operations, as well as the land acquisition, asset valuation, and the conversion of shares.
- Energy production leads to the depletion of the planet's fossil resources.
- The atmosphere is polluted. The main contributing factors are emissions of sulfur and nitrogen oxides, fly ash, solid pollutants, and combustion products. Emissions increase the greenhouse effect and climate warming.
- The soil is polluted. Some of the slag and chemical waste from power plants cannot be disposed of, so they are either buried in the ground or dumped into huge chemical waste landfills.
- Water resources are polluted. Power plants are consumers of process water. During use, this liquid is saturated with solutions of hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, ammonium salts, petroleum products and is discharged into natural reservoirs, thus poisoning them.
All these factors are recognized as the main environmental threats to humanity and nature as a whole. The governments of many countries are seriously concerned about the situation.
Today, there are no safe ways to produce electricity, and the large-scale use of wind farms and solar panels is also detrimental to the environment. Therefore, the only way for humanity to reduce the degree of environmental pollution is to switch to energy saving mode, to use energy more wisely. People need technologies that will help reduce electricity consumption, otherwise the planet will face an environmental disaster.
The main consumers of electricity in the world are electric motors. Most of the motors that are currently in use have a low energy efficiency class. In other words, such motors consume a large amount of electricity, so there is a need to generate huge amounts of electricity by processing coal, oil and gas, using nuclear power plants.
Electric motors with the "Slavyanka" combined winding technology can be a solution to this problem. Their energy efficiency is confirmed by patents, research and many years of operational experience. The technology makes it possible to produce motors of high energy efficiency classes IE3, IE4 in the connecting mass and size dimensions of motors with low energy efficiency class IE1. In addition, four combined winding motors can be made from the same amount of raw materials as three classic electric motors. Motors with "Slavyanka" are operationally reliable: many of them have been operating faultlessly for many years. Therefore, their mass application will significantly reduce the consumption of electricity, fossil resources and the degree of environmental pollution.
These electric motors will be developed at the "Sovelmash" design and engineering technology department, which is being built in the special economic zone "Technopolis "Moscow" within the framework of the crowdinvesting project "Duyunov's motors".
You can participate in the project, invest the amount you can afford and become a co-owner of an innovative enterprise.
The project is at its final funding stage. A lot has been accomplished using the investments mobilized.
- The Sovelmash Design and Engineering Technology Department (D&E) has been built, where energy-efficient electric motors will be developed and put into production.
- A state-of-the-art equipment stock has been built, which will make it possible not only to develop, but also to mass produce in-house developed innovative products. The D&E capacities include metalworking, test, casting, winding and other areas.
- There is a laboratory where high-precision testing of electric motors is carried out.
- A number of innovative developments have been made: the world's first traction combined winding motor, the world's first induction hub motor, the world's first quadcopter powered by induction motors, an electrically powered Slavyanka based angle grinder and others.
Sovelmash is gearing up to obtain the documents that will make it possible to officially launch the enterprise.
You can participate in the project by investing the amount you can afford and become a co-owner of the D&E.
The "Slavyanka" combined winding technology is based on the scientific and technological base created by Dmitriy Duyunov and his team.
The company "ASiPP", within the framework of which the technology was developed, and the company "Sovelmash" have received more than 20 patents for it. A large scope of motor research has also been conducted by independent experts. For example, at the University of Bologna, University Düsseldorf and Belgorod University. The patents and research reports can be found on the official website of the project by following the link.
The authenticity of the patents can be checked on the website of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property You need to go to the "Open Registers" section - "Register of Inventions" and enter the number of the patent you are looking for in the "Value" field.
The research and practice of using the existing electric motors prove the efficiency of the "Slavyanka" technology and the results announced by Dmitriy Duyunov's team.
The practical application of the technology is carried out by licensed winders, too. The "ASiPP" company had been working on the "Slavyanka" combined winding before "Sovelmash" was created. It entered into license agreements to use the technology with legal entities and natural persons involved in the maintenance and repair of induction electric motors. Licensed winders modernize electric motors using the combined winding technology as part of the repair service.
Thanks to licensed winders, hundreds of thousands of combined winding motors are operating in various fields around the world, demonstrating the advantages of the technology. Customers of the winders can see that the modernized motors are more powerful and cost-efficient, they have a significantly longer service life, and many of them run for many years without any failures.
The "Slavyanka" technology is widely used in the field of transport: here the advantages of combined winding motors are especially obvious to all users. Let's recall the most striking examples of vehicles equipped with the motors modernized by applying the "Slavyanka" technology.
- In the summer of 2017, the KamAZ car generator from the "KamAZ-Master" sports club was rewound. The rewinding ensured increasing the generator power by almost 30%. The modernized car took part in the 2017 Dakar Rally. The "KamAZ-Master" team was satisfied with the enhancement, after that the generators of the remaining cars were rewound for the 2018 Dakar Rally.
- In 2013, in Donetsk, a 112-size motor was installed on the "Era" mine electric locomotive, modernized by applying the "Slavyanka" technology. After that, the electric locomotive was able to pull 11 coal trolleys, whereas the previous motor had pulled only 5. When transporting 100 tons of coal, the motor did not overheat, despite a twofold increase in the load. Duyunov's development doubled the productivity of Donetsk miners along with a significant reduction in energy consumption.
- In 2015, a member of Duyunov's team Victor Arestov rewound the motor of a Renault Kangoo car using the "Slavyanka" technology, the original electric motor had been heating up badly. As a result, the motor stopped heating, and the distance range of the electric car increased by 20%.
More examples of the "Slavyanka" technology practical application can be found here.
The other existing hub motors in the world are BLDC motors, that is, they run on permanent magnets. Permanent magnets, in turn, contain rare-earth metals, which are extracted predominantly in China. Due to this, the price of BLDC-type hub motors is high, there is a dependence on China in this area. Despite this fact, the demand for such motors is growing along with the popularity of electric vehicles in the world.
Duyunov's hub motor is an induction electric motor that has a number of advantages over BLDC motors.
- Its production cost is much lower, because instead of using expensive rare-earth metals, it relies on copper and electrical steel available in different countries.
- Having similar mass and size dimensions, combined winding hub motors outperform permanent magnet motors in power and reliability.
- Induction hub motors are resistant to moisture and ferromagnetic dust, unlike BLDC motors, therefore there is no need to use additional elements that complicate the design (e.g., sealing).
- Hub motors with "Slavyanka" are much more resistant to shock loads than fragile magnets, which is essential for use in transportation.
"Sovelmash" continues to work on creating an industrial hub motor version, which can be mass produced on automated production lines. At the same time, the results of the laboratory tests and field trials of hub motors are taken into account.
A large number of companies have turned their attention to the hub motor with "Slavyanka". And this is just one of the many types of electric motors that Dmitriy Duyunov's team is capable of developing.

The minimum investment threshold starting from $ 50, high probability of earning a profit, as well as legal protection of funds make investing in the project an attractive option even for beginner investors.
You can purchase a package of investment shares here.
The first way is dividends. Sovelmash will earn a profit from developing and establishing the production for electric rotating machines, as well as from manufacturing its in-house developed products. Sovelmash will pay a considerable part of its profits distributed as dividends to investors.
The second way is selling the securities purchased by the project investors at a price that is much lower than their potential nominal value. This is the so-called discount or reduced price for the purchased investment shares.
The project is divided into 20 funding stages, at each of which a number of tasks are performed, thus approaching the project implementation, respectively, the risks are reduced, the discount also becomes lower. In other words, by investing at stage 10, you can purchase more investment shares than on stage 15 for the same amount of money. After the project implementation, the shares will cost even more, consequently, it will be possible to earn profit from their sale.
Currently the project is at its final funding stage, when you can still purchase shares in the enterprise on favorable conditions.
The Sovelmash Design and Engineering Technology Department (D&E) has been built in the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow in Russia.
