The revival of airships is already underway. Join us!

Once, airships were the kings of the skies.
In the early 20th century, they carried passengers across oceans and delivered cargo to places airplanes could not reach. However, after the Hindenburg disaster in 1937, airship development stalled for nearly a century.

But that was only a pause. Today, a team of leading engineers, designers, and researchers is working to revive airships together with scientific leaders — Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU) and the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI).

In 2024, the company AERONOVA was established to achieve this goal, and the New Generation Airships project was launched. In less than two years, the project has delivered results that have impressed even skeptics.

The first unmanned airship, NOVA-01, has already taken to the skies. Next, the hybrid AEROLЁT-01 entered flight testing.

And in 2026, AERONOVA will present the first large unmanned airship — the approximately 40-meter-long NOVA-2.

Why are airships making a comeback?

Freedom from infrastructure: the ability to take off and land without an airfield, delivering cargo to the most hard-to-reach regions, such as the Arctic and Yakutia.
Efficiency and sustainability: fuel consumption is a fraction of conventional aviation’s, with minimal emissions and low noise.
Stability: the ability to hover over a designated point without expending energy, which is especially relevant for research, monitoring, and firefighting.

The global market has already recognized the potential of this technology.
This is not nostalgia for the past, but the next chapter of aviation. And it is being written right now in Russia. Watch the video and feel part of the revival of an entire industry.
