What are the advantages of new generation airships over competitor airships and other vehicles?

The most energy-efficient of the four known principles of flight in modern aircraft is aerostatic flight, which airships rely on. Energy is not needed to generate the aerostatic (Archimedes) lift force, and overcoming the frontal resistance of the airship in flight requires relatively small energy expenditures.
New generation airships will offer a number of major advantages over heavier-than-air aircraft (airplanes and helicopters):
- high economic efficiency,
- environmental friendliness (in terms of noise and CO2 emissions),
- no restrictions on travel routes,
- the possibility to fly solely on solar energy in the long run.

Advantages of airships

- Long range and duration of flight.
- Vertical takeoff and landing (no need for an airfield).
- Possibility of door-to-door transportation of heavy and oversized cargoes, receiving and releasing cargoes from the air.
- Natural flight safety.
- High eco-friendliness due to the low level of anthropogenic impact on the environment and the possibility of transition to environmentally friendly hydrogen and solar energy.
- Low power-to-weight ratio.
- Low material intensity and high mass efficiency of the structure.
- Low operating costs.
- Low specific consumption of hydrocarbon fuel.
- Low noise level.
- A negligible level of anthropogenic impact of the required infrastructure on the environment.
- Possibility of landing without ground crew on small-sized platforms, including roofs of high-rise buildings and hotels in city centers and technology parks.
- Possibility of parking with an anchor system in a fixed position for loading and unloading operations.
- Possibility of landing on water.
