From the first flight to series production: phase 4 of the project commences in June
The New Generation Airships project is preparing to start stage 4. This has become possible thanks to the launch of in-house envelope manufacturing. Right now, the team is manufacturing the envelope for the NOVA-2 airship; next come gas inflation and the installation of systems for the electric version’s maiden flight.
Starting with an unmanned electric modification is the fastest way to hone the key technologies for future crewed vehicles. This was outlined by Fyodor Konstantinov and Gennady Babanin during the news webinar.

Demonstration days at the airfield open on 5 June. You will be able to see NOVA-01 and AEROLËT-01 up close and, weather permitting, watch them in the sky. Attendance is free upon registration.
